Hello and thank you for checking out my blog. My name is Eric Morgado. I am a third generation general contractor from the SF Bay Area (San Jose, CA). I am also a husband, a father of 2 (soon to be 3), and that's it because having 2 kids and a small business takes up all of my time! But some things I enjoy are listening to audiobooks/podcasts (mostly in the car or while doing the dishes), reading, sports, and spending time with my beautiful family. My goal with this blog is to be able to share my experiences and lessons, while also getting a chance to highlight some of the jobs I've managed and completed.
I've been running residential construction projects with my family since 2011, and I've been licensed myself since February 2019. I effectively took over my grandfather's business in 2015, and at that time my dad and I ran the business and did all of the labor between the two of us. This quickly became unsustainable, so over the years we've grown our team to an 8 person crew and I no longer do any labor. With my focus being mainly on the business and in the office, I plan to make the time to build my portfolio and create blog posts to help me share our work with our community and beyond.
